In the men's singles of Syed Modi tournament played in Lucknow, India's Samir Verma captured the title for the second year in a row. In the men's doubles final, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy also lost in the finals to Satkikasaiyaraja Runkeydaddy and Chirag Shetty in the women's doubles final.

In the men's singles finals, Sameer Verma won the title by defeating Lu Guangzhou 16-21, 21-19, 21-14 in China. India's Ajay Jayaram, Cyril Verma, HS Prannoy, Siddharth Thakur, Rahul Yadav, Shreyash Jaiswal, Kartikeya Gulshan Kumar and Saurabh Verma in the first round and Harshil Dani, Gurusaidutt, Shubhankar Dey and Mithun Manjunath were out in the second round. Parupalli Kashyap and B Saina Praneeth had to face defeat in the quarter-finals.
